Delores J. Boeckel

DOVER – Delores J. (Heffner) Boeckel, 76, entered into rest at 12:50 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024.  She was the wife of the late Rodney C. Boeckel.

Born October 18, 1947 in York, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Jessie (Crowl) Heffner.

Delores worked as a cook for Dover Area School District.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Roundtown.

Delores is survived by her three sons, Scott Boeckel of Felton, Lonnie Boeckel of Dover and Matthew Boeckel of East Berlin; three grandchildren, Scott, Jr., Bryce and Mercedes; a great-granddaughter, Elliot Rae; a sister, Kathryn Tuckey of New Cumberland; and friend and caregiver, Kathi Waltemire of Dallastown.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Delores’ funeral at 1:30 p.m. and the viewing from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery.  Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Normandie Ridge, 1700 Normandie Drive, York, PA 17408.
