DOVER – Dorothy J. (Dubbs) Hartman, 91, entered into rest Saturday afternoon, March 23, 2024 at her home.  She was the wife of the late Denton L. Hartman.

Born February 6, 1933 in York, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Edna (Rodgers) Dubbs.

Dorothy graduated from Dover High School in 1951.  She was employed by a number of local businesses over the years, including York Caskets and G.C. Murphy’s.  Dorothy enjoyed reading and camping with her family, whom she loved taking care of.

She is survived by three sons, Steven L. Hartman, Kelly D. Hartman and Mark B. Hartman and his wife, Christina, all of Dover; two grandsons, Dustin LeGrand and John Hartman; two great grandchildren, Lyla and Lucas LeGrand; and three sisters, Shirley Fox of Florida, Helen Weitkamp of North Carolina and Carol Garner of Dover.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her half-brother, Roy Ferry.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dorothy’s funeral at 10:30 a.m. and the visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.  Officiating will be the Rev. James E. Winter, Sr.
