Gary L. Beecher
DOVER – Gary L. Beecher, 83, entered into eternal rest at 10:47 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Pappus House in Thomasville. He was the loving husband of Joann Louise (Stough) Beecher. The couple celebrated 55 years of marriage on August 24, 2023.
Born February 24, 1941 in Siddonsburg, Gary was the son of the late Samuel Merle and Gertrude Elizabeth Louise (Hoover) Beecher.
He graduated from Dover High School in 1960.
Gary was the owner and president of Beecher & Myers Company in Dover for over 30 years.
He attended Harmony Grove Community Church and was a member of Dover Rod & Gun Club since 1976.
Gary was an avid league bowler in the York area and enjoyed saltwater fishing as well as hunting. He also enjoyed snowmobiling in Potter County and traveling with his wife.
In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his daughter, Holly A. Feeser and husband, Blaine W. II of East Berlin; and three grandchildren, Kira L. Feeser, Theron S. Feeser and Aspen L. Feeser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Woodrow W. and Helen A. Stough.
Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Gary's memorial service at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover with Pastor Jim Crosley officiating. There will be visitations from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover.
