Larry C. Graffius

YORK – Larry C. Graffius, 81, entered into rest at 4 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at his home.  He was the loving husband of Charlene F. (Sweitzer) Graffius.  The couple celebrated 33 years of marriage on July 5, 2023.

Born September 17, 1942 in York, he was a son of the late William H. and Vergie A. (Eppley) Graffius.

Larry retired from Baughman Memorial Works in Dover where he was a sandblaster.  He was a lifetime member of Early American Steam Society and enjoyed tractors, especially Allis-Chalmers.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by two sons, Troy A. Graffius and wife, Mary of Dover and Tim S. Graffius of Manchester; grandchildren, Andrew and Damon Graffius and Tabitha Shoemaker; two brothers, W. Dale Graffius and wife, Connie of Dover and Clifford M. Graffius and wife, Linda of York; brother-in-law, Robert Hughes of Florida; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Graffius of York.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda M. Hughes; and brothers, Randy L. Graffius and Ernie Graffius.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Larry’s funeral at 12 noon and the viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc, 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Dover Bethany Cemetery.   Officiating will be the Rev. Stanley Reep of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in York.
