Rodney J. Gurreri
DOVER – Rodney J. Gurreri, 81, entered into rest at 12:25 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at his son’s home. He was the husband of the late Patricia Ann (Lankford) Gurreri.
Born June 10, 1942 in York, Rodney was a son of the late Nicholas F. and Dorothy I. (Gemmill) Gurreri.
He was the owner and operator of Rodney’s Used Cars and Rodney’s Used Auto Parts in Dover for almost 40 years.
Rodney was a member of White Rose Classic Chevy Club and was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his children, Tanya L. Tyler, wife of the late James of Dover; son, Steven J. Gurreri of Dover; granddaughter, Jacqueline Measley Bisker and husband Adam; great granddaughter, Felicity Measley; brother, William Gurreri of York; and two sisters, Barbara Mundis and Patricia Mann, both of York. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Shuemaker and Doris Ruppert; and four brothers, Lawrence, C. Thomas, Harold and Nicholas Gurreri.
Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Rodney’s graveside service at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in Salem Union Cemetery, 2705 W. Canal Rd., Dover. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Sterling Walsh, Jr., pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church of Greater York. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
