Charles E. Rouscher

DOVER – Charles Edward Rouscher, 86, entered into rest at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019 at SpiriTrust Lutheran The Village at Shrewsbury.  He was the loving husband of Frances P. (Noel) Rouscher.  The couple celebrated 62 years of marriage on February 3, 2018.

Born December 22, 1932 in York, Charles was a son of the late Charles A. and Myrtle (Jacob) Rouscher.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Charles had forty years of service as a truck driver for Ace Beer Distributor.  He was a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791 and West Manchester VFW Post 7374.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by five daughters, Candy Martin, Brenda Neiman and husband, David, Deb Moats, Tammy Beck and husband, William and Linda Gladfelter and husband, Scott, all of Dover; seven grandchildren, John Moats, Shaun and Chad Neiman, Tyler Beck, Cheyanne Ort, Savannah Martin and Ashley Peddicord; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Charles' funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover where veteran's honors will be presented by York County Veterans Honor Guard.  Officiating will be the Rev. Kevin Becker, pastor of Salem U.C.C. in Jacobus.
