Craig D. Gross

DOVER – Craig D. Gross, 66, entered into rest at 12:48 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023 at UPMC Memorial in York.

Born February 26, 1957 in York, he was a son of the late Ray A. Gross and Charlotte M. (Lankford) Gross.

Craig graduated from Dover Area High School in 1975 and owned and operated Craig D. Gross Excavating.  He was a member of the Dover Hunting Camp, Inc. in Potter County.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing in his younger years. Most of all, Craig enjoyed having a great time with friends and family.

Craig is survived by three children, Jared K. Smith and wife, Tiffany of Abbottstown, Brittaney R. Gross of York and Seth H. Gross and wife, Ashley of Dover; six grandchildren; a sister, Rory A. Gross of Dover; two brothers, Scott J. Gross of Lewisberry and Steve B. Gross of Wellsville; and his companion, Melinda Hughes Harbold of Dover.

Following cremation, there will be a time to celebrate Craig's life from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at East Berlin VFW Post 8896, 107 Locust Street, East Berlin, PA 17316.  The celebration will be held in the upstairs hall room.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
