The couple celebrated 51 years of marriage on April 28, 2024. Born October 15, 1952 in Conewago Township, Dawn was a daughter of Grace (Lemkelde) Laird of Wellsville and the late Herman M. In addition to her husband and mother, Dawn is survived by her daughter, Jollene K. Wise of Lewisberry; grandson, Tristan G. Wise; and sister, Karen L. Kohler and husband, Randy of Lewisberry. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gale R. Dillon.

She attended the Mount Royal Full Gospel Church since she was a child. Dawn loved horses and rode for many years, she especially loved trail riding in the mountains and hills of central Pennsylvania.
