Deborah S. Barr

DOVER – Deborah S. Barr, 80, entered into rest early Saturday morning, June 29, 2019 at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was the loving wife of Paul W. Newton.  The couple celebrated 26 years of marriage on June 26, 2019.

Born March 30, 1939 in Bronx, NY, Deborah was a daughter of the late Ben and Bertha (Weiss) Waldman.

She worked as a law secretary for a number of law firms.

Deborah enjoyed cooking, music and real estate.

In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by four children, Jeff Barr of Seattle, WA, Lisa Harm of Newtown, Ron Barr of Winston-Salem, NC and Beth Porfiri of Olney, MD; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and sister, Judy Aschmann of Mays Landing, NJ.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Deborah's graveside service at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019 in Montefiore Cemetery, 600 Church Rd., Jenkintown, PA.
