Larry R. Golden

DOVER – Larry R. Golden, 81, entered into rest at 11:03 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at his daughter's home.  He was the husband of the late Lois R. (Ruppert) Golden.  They were married 58 years.

Born April 1, 1937 in Hanover, Larry was a son of the late Paul S. Sr. and Beulah E. (Miller) Golden.

He had 30 years of service for Thonet Industries, formerly Home Furniture, in York and 15 years of service for Penn Wood Products in East Berlin.

Larry was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Dover.  He was an avid hunter who was a member of Hawks Gunning Club and the NRA.

Larry is survived by two daughters, Kimberly S. Smith and husband, David A. of York and Kerri A. Kwiatkowski and husband, Michael B. of Baltimore, MD; three grandsons, Christopher J. and Benjamin S. Smith and Darren M. Moreland; and two brothers, Ronald Golden of Red Lion and Jere Golden of Allentown.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Golden, Jr., Philip Golden, and Jay Golden; and two sisters, Doris Workinger and June Miller.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Larry's funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover.  Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Amy Northridge.
