Laura J. Zellers

​ DOVER – Laura Jean (Bollinger) Zellers, 62, entered into rest at 6:42 a.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at her home.  She was the loving wife of John M. Zellers.  The couple would have celebrated 42 years of marriage on September 29, 2026.

Born February 14, 1964 in York, Laura was the daughter of Larry E. and Judith A. (Johnson) Bollinger of Dover.

She graduated from Dover High School in 1982 and earned an associate degree in computer science from Pennsylvania State University York Campus.  Laura worked for Highmark Insurance in Camp Hill. Laura was an active and devoted member of Salem United Church of Christ in Dover, where she faithfully served on various committees. She was also a dedicated member of Union Fire & Hose Co. #1 in Dover for 44 years. During her many years of service, Laura volunteered as a fire police officer and served as membership secretary for 15 years.

Laura found great joy in camping at Deer Run Camping Resort in Gardners, PA, where she enjoyed making memories with family and friends. She also enjoyed participating in the Chuck Wagons for Veterans with her husband, creating many cherished memories along the way.

In addition to her husband and parents, Laura is survived by her son, Parker D. Zellers and wife, Cortney of Dover; grandson, Harlen M. Zellers; and her beloved Shih Tzu, Hollie.

Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Laura's memorial service at 11 a.m. and the visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Salem Community Church, 2705 W. Canal Rd., Dover.  Officiating will be retired pastor and lifetime family friend, Kevin Bruck.  The family requests casual attire.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
