Lois M. Gentzler

YORK – Lois M. Gentzler, 82, entered into rest at 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at ManorCare North.  She was the loving wife of Ronald R. Gentzler.  The couple celebrated 33 years of marriage on April 19, 2018. Born September 12, 1936 in York, she was a daughter of the late Lawton S. and Dorothy (Hubler) Spiese. Lois worked as a housekeeper at nursing homes in the York area.  She had also been employed at White Dove Laundry.  She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, York and a former member of Hellam VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  Lois enjoyed bowling. In addition to her husband, Lois is survived by two sons, Rodney Seitz of Wrightsville and Michael Seitz of Red Lion; a step-daughter, Tammy King of Dover; two step-sons, Roy Gentzler of West York and Shawn Gentzler of York; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a sister, Casandra L. McWilliams of Temple.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard L. Spiese. Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lois' memorial service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Paul Gausmann. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Rd., York, PA 17404.
