Maria Bobbitt HELLAM - Maria Bobbitt, 89, entered into rest Sunday afternoon, May 8, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation (Kingston Court). She was the wife of the late Franklin Bobbitt who passed away on June 20, 2021. Born November 9, 1932 in Yugoslavia, Maria was a daughter of the late Johann and Magdalena (Klepp) Wittman. She was self-employed and operated her own daycare center. Maria and her husband were very active members of First Assembly of God in York for over 60 years.  She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Maria was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles. She is survived by two daughters, Esther Senft and husband, Terry of Dover and Elizabeth Ruth Campbell and husband, Michael of Greencastle; a son, Timothy Bobbitt and wife, Stacy of Landisville; eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Ann Bobbitt; a granddaughter, Christine Noel Campbell; two brothers; and a sister. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Maria's funeral at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022 with the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, York.  Officiating will be her nephew, Pastor Michael Bobbitt.
