Martha R. (Sowers) Sigel

DOVER – In the early hours of her 84th birthday, Martha was ushered home by the angels with her family at her side, on Saturday, October 23, 2021.  She was the wife of the late Rosston M. Sigel.

Born October 23, 1937 in Washington Township, Martha was a daughter of the late Oliver F. and Regina E. (Doll) Sowers, Sr.

She had 23 years of service for Pfaltzgraff where she was a decaler.

Martha loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by four children, Eddie L. Sigel of Winter Springs, FL, Christine A. Sheridan and husband, Daniel of York, Charles B. Sigel and wife, Amanda of Dover and Debra R. Sigel and fiancé, Theodore Singletary of Spring Grove; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Sowers of Hanover; and two sisters, Anna Zeigler of Spring Grove and Eleanor Eyster of Dover.  In addition to her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by a great grandson, Dalton Sheridan; five brothers, Martin Sowers, Oliver Sowers, Jr., Lewis Sowers, William Sowers and Charles "Jake" Sowers; and a sister, Mary Westerhold.

Following cremation, services will be at the convenience of the family.  Burial will take place in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover is serving Martha's family.
