Richard E. Crone WELLSVILLE - Richard E. Crone, 78, entered into rest at 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at ManorCare North.  He was the husband of the late Faye L. (Hamme) Crone.  They were married almost 56 years. Born October 8, 1942 in Dover Township, he was a son of the late Ralph R. Crone and the late Clara M. (Hollinger) Crone Reichard. Richard graduated from Dover High School in 1960.  He was an industrial contractor who owned and operated Crone's Services. Richard was a member of the Viking Athletic Association and Cumberland County Corvette Club.  He enjoyed sprint car racing, antique cars and golf.  Richard was also an animal lover, especially dogs. He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Grove of Shiloh; two sons, Wade Crone and wife, Beth of East Berlin and Kevin Crone and wife, Debbie of Felton; three grandchildren, Jessica Kagarise and husband, BJ, Tracy Shue and husband, Nate and Peyton Lauer and husband, Logan; five great grandchildren, Rylee, Carter, Cole, Caiden and Stella; a sister, Barbara Simmons of Pleasureville; a half-brother, Ralph E. Crone of York; and his beloved dog, Otis.  In addition to his wife and parents, Richard was preceded in death by a grandson, Trent Grove. Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Richard's graveside service at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2021 in Shiloh Cemetery, 2234 Church Rd., York.  Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Grace U.C.C. in Hanover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
