Sarah D. Kennedy

DOVER – Sarah D. Kennedy, 80, entered into rest Sunday, January 30, 2022 at her home.

She was born November 20, 1941 in York, a daughter of the late Willis R. and Edna M. (Laughman) Dubbs.

Sarah attended Dover Area School District and had been employed by Utz, Martins Potato Chips and Keystone Wire Cloth.

She loved flower gardening, playing games and watching cartoons.

Sarah is survived by two children, Scott E. Kennedy and wife, Linda, of Littlestown and Tina M. Phillips of Taneytown, MD; three grandchildren, Brandon  and Miranda Mort, and Michael Phillips; a great grandson, Caden; two sisters, Edna M. Laughman of Hanover and Dorothy Dubbs of New Bloomfield; and a brother, Russell Dubbs of Dover.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Roberts, two sisters, Beatrice and Bonnie Dubbs and a brother, Willis Dubbs.

Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Sarah's graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022 in Greenmount Cemetery, 721 Carlisle Ave., York.  Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Grace U.C.C. in Hanover.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving her family.
