Terry L. Bender, Sr. MANCHESTER – Terry L. Bender, Sr., 70, entered into rest at 6:55 a.m. on Monday, October 19, 2026 at his daughter's home. He was the loving husband of Louise M. (Keefer) Bender. They were married on October 31, 1978 and shared almost 48 years of marriage.
Born February 11, 1956 in York, Terry was a son of the late William and Margaret (Miller) Beck, Jr.

Terry and his wife participated in the York Casket Bowling League years ago. He was a devoted NASCAR fan who enjoyed cheering on Rusty Wallace and watching football, especially his favorite team, the Miami Dolphins. Terry loved having a cold beer and sharing laughs and good times with his buddies, as well as playing darts and shooting pool. He enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, especially classic rock, yacht rock, and old country. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him so much happiness. Terry also held a special place in his heart for his son's cat, Skittles, who brought him plenty of love and companionship. He will be remembered for the memories he made, the friendships he treasured, and the love he shared with his family. In addition to his wife, Louise, Terry is survived by his four children, Terry L. Bender, Jr. and wife, Atiya of Reading, Christine Wood and Dawn Keefer, both of York and Daryll Bender of Manchester; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy Keefer and Billie Jo McKenzie; and a brother, Brian Beck. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Gail (Detwiler) Bender; and a great grandson. Following cremation, a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
