Vance L. Knudsen DOVER

Vance L. Knudsen, 87, entered into rest at 12:20 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home The Village at Sprenkle Drive.  He was the husband of the late Patricia L. (Keister) Knudsen.

Born December 12, 1930 in Newberry, he was a son of the late Frank and Lola (Krone) Knudsen.

Vance proudly served in the U.S. Army.

He retired in 1988 following many years of service as a mechanic for the New Cumberland Army Depot.

Vance enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He is survived by a son, Roger D. Keister and wife, Sueann of Windsor; a daughter, Linda G. Williams and husband, Barry of Seymour, IN; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy D. Knudsen; a daughter, Patricia D. Pickren; six brothers; and three sisters.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Vance's funeral at 10 a.m. and the viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover.  Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Grace U.C.C. in Hanover.  The family requests casual attire.
