A. Samuel Linton
YORK - A. Samuel Linton, 95, entered into rest at 3:40 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in York. He was the husband of the late Audrey A. (Bell) Linton.
Born March 1, 1927 in Sanford, VA, Samuel was a son of the late Adolphous and Virgie (Tapman) Linton.
He had 40 years of service for Campbell Chain in York where he worked in the plating department.
Samuel was a member of York Alliance Church and Senior Life Center, York.
He is survived by his children, Neil S. Linton of Red Lion, Matthew E. Linton of Lancaster and Lee Ann Dettinger of Dallastown; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson; two sisters; and six brothers.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Samuel’s service at 12 noon and the viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Officiating will be the Rev. James Fahringer, visitation pastor of Calvary Temple Assembly of God.
