Annie D. Delp

YORK – Annie D. Delp, 86, entered into rest at 11 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025 at York South Nursing and Rehabilitation.  She was a former resident of SpiriTrust Lutheran – The Village at Kelly Drive.  She was the wife of the late Charles E. “Chuck” Delp.

Born October 19, 1938 in York New Salem, Annie was a daughter of the late Sterling J.L. and Lillie A. (Gentzler) Garrett.

She retired following over 20 years of service for York International where she was an administrative assistant.  Annie had also worked at York Bank and Print-O-Stat.

She was a former member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church in York New Salem where she was an organist and sang in the choir in addition to participating in many other church activities.  Annie had also been an active member of Faith E.C. Church in Bear Station and St. Paul’s U.C.C. in Stoverstown.

Annie enjoyed wreath making and playing cards with her siblings.  She was her grandson’s number one sports fan and was known as the “Hockey Memaw”.

Annie is survived by her three children, Rebecca L. Delp Kleinosky and husband, Kevin of York, Timothy E. Delp and wife, Staci of York and Carla A. Voorstad and husband, Theodoor of Dover; grandson, Nicholas Voorstad; two step-grandchildren, Abby N. Trovinger(Kyle) and Carli Jo Neiderer(Zachary); four step-great grandchildren, Brady M. Trovinger, Noah J. Trovinger, Owen J. Neiderer and Olivia R. Neiderer; and her sister, Doris M. Paradies of York.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, George “Curt” Garrett, Donald R. Garrett, Harrison D. Garrett and David E. Garrett, Sr. and four sisters, Flurene R. Queen, Beverly J. Baughman, Margaret L. Klinedinst and Ethel L. Rishel.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Annie’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Union Cemetery in Stoverstown.  Officiating will be the Reverend Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Christ U.C.C. in Jefferson.
