Barry L. Myers

DOVER- Barry L. Myers, 82, peacefully entered into rest surrounded by his family on Monday, January 22, 2024 at his home.  He was the loving husband of the late Jane (Crone) Myers.

Born June 30, 1941 in Dover, Barry was a son of the late John L. and Hester (Matthews) Myers.

He graduated from Northeastern High School in 1959 and owned and operated Myers Barber Shop in Dover for 40 years.

Barry was a member of Cornerstone Bible Church in Dover and dedicated his time and talents serving the Lord.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, mowing and spending time with family and friends.

Barry is survived by his daughter, Lora A. Palmer and husband, Dave of Carlisle; son, Matthew L. Myers and wife, Jane of Dover; grandchildren, Alex Palmer, Katelyn Myers, Brittany Myers and Cody Mundis; two great grandchildren, Luke and Emerson; brother, Stan Myers; and five sisters, Audrey Dodson, June Boswell, Joyce Strine, Gayle Duffy and Darlene Caboot.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Barry’s funeral at 12:30 p.m. and the viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Cornerstone Bible Church, 3500 Cardinal Lane, Dover.  Burial will follow in Rohler’s Mountain View Cemetery in Dover.  Officiating will be Elder Dave Lankford.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Bible Church, 3500 Cardinal Lane, Dover, PA 17315.
