DOVER – Betty Jean Schenandore, 86, entered into rest at 11:03 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at her home.  She was the loving wife of Dennis E. Schenandore.  The couple celebrated 55 years of marriage on April 11, 2023.

Born October 25, 1936 in Friars Hill, WV, Betty was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ina Mary (Crane) Franklin.

She was an Avon representative for 43 years and enjoyed playing Bingo, spending time with family and going on family vacations.

In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by four children, Sherry Rodgers and husband, Keith and Deanna Rankin and husband, Bill, all of Dover, Jody Schenandore and companion, Lisa Diehl of York, and Salinda Weary and husband, Mike of Dover; three grandchildren, Ryan Rodgers and wife, Leah of Dover, Jarred Rodgers of Tennessee and Eric Rodgers and wife, Courtney of Dover; and six great grandchildren, Tyler, Reese, Brooklyn, Gavin, Griffin and Marley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Robert L., Gerald E. and Donald G. Franklin.

Private family burial will take place in Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
