Blair E. Gibboney
DOVER – Blair E. Gibboney, 71, entered into rest at 9:38 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at his home. He was the loving husband of Cynthia L. (Myers) Gibboney. The couple celebrated 51 years of marriage on December 9, 2023.
He was born May 8, 1953 in Manhattan, NY, a son of the late Duane Gibboney and Virginia L. (Markle) Moore.
Blair retired from York International. He was an avid Penn State Football fan and enjoyed dancing.
In addition to his wife, Blair is survived by a son, Jamie B. Gibboney and wife, Jannon of Dover; six grandchildren, Tyler, Laken, Morgan, Jordan, Konner and Avery; great grandchildren, Pia, Crew and Oakley; two brothers, James W. Markle and wife, Beth of Locust Grove, VA and Robert D. Gibboney of Quakertown; a sister, Mildred M. Stonebreaker of York; “his” Angie (niece); a large extended family; and his beloved fur babies, Laysea and Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jason E. Gibboney; brother, Barry L. Gibboney; and sister, Sandra L. Spotts.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Blair’s funeral at 2 p.m. and the viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Dover Bethany Cemetery. Officiating will be Chaplain Ron Bupp.
