Brian M. Betts
THOMASVILLE – Brian M. Betts, 66, entered into rest at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at his home. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth K. (Smith) Betts. The couple celebrated 16 years of marriage on December 17, 2022.
Born April 29, 1956 in Allegheny County, Brian was a son of the late Richard F. Betts and Kathryn E. (Winemiller) Grove.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Brian worked as a truck driver for Clinton Laser Fabrication in York.
As a man of deep faith, Brian held the 23rd Psalm near and dear and was a member of New Beginnings House of God in Spring Grove. He was also an avid motorcycle rider and member of Christian Motorcycle Association.
In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by two step-daughters, Amanda Thomas and husband, Daryl of York and Heather Scappa and husband, Michael of Dover; a step-son, Jason Hirt of York; seven grandchildren; a great granddaughter; two brothers, Michael Betts and Kyle Betts and wife, Amy, all of York; niece, Britni Brown and husband, Ryan; a great niece; and his beloved dog, Daisy Mae.
Following cremation, a time to celebrate Brian's life will be scheduled at a later date. Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. in Dover is serving his family.
