Brian J. Milburn
DOVER – Brian J. Milburn, 71, entered into rest unexpectedly as a result of a tragic accident on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at his beach home in Pot-Nets, DE.
Born November 29, 1949 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Louis E. and Edith (Flottemesch) Milburn.
Brian served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. He received an associate’s degree from Baltimore Junior College before obtaining an engineering degree from Johns Hopkins University.
Brian retired as Vice President of Construction from Heery International in 2013 following 19 years of service. He formerly was the director of pre-construction services at HCB Contractors Beck Group for 12 years.
Brian was a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791 where he was a member of the American Legion Riders. He was also a lifetime member of HOG.
Brian enjoyed their beach house, boating and riding his Harley. He was a man of great detail. As an avid reader, he was knowledgeable on many subjects. He cherished the time spent and memories made with Kathy, her family and friends, with his move to PA.
He leaves behind his daughter, Meghan L. Milburn and husband, Jonathan K. Haag; daughter, Laren L. Milburn and husband, Ben L. Krumholz; grandsons, Andrew and Thomas Milburn Haag and Bode Larence Krumholz; granddaughters, Vivian and Claire Haag Milburn all of Perry Hall, MD; his life partner, Kathy S. Lamparter of Dover; her two sons, Zachary D. Lamparter and wife, Alyssa and Ryan M. Lamparter; grandchildren, Leyton K., Dax J. and Ensley M. Lamparter; and his precious pups, Lylah and Barney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Edgar Milburn and Kathy’s son, Joshua M. Lamparter.
Burial will be private. There will be a celebration of Brian’s life at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 upstairs at Shiloh American Legion Post 791, 1490 Poplars Road, York.
