Brian A. Sipes
DOVER – Brian A. Sipes, 65, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 unexpectedly at his home. He was the loving husband of Kay E. (Reynolds) Sipes. The couple celebrated 19 years of marriage on January 1, 2020.
Born May 3, 1954 in York, Brian was a son of the late Millard and Mae (Holtzapple) Sipes.
He graduated from York Vo-Tech in 1972.
Brian’s passion was making old cars new again and he co-owned K.E. Rodgers Auto Sales in Dover with Keith Rodgers until his retirement.
He was a member of the Rooster Club; Prince Athletic Association; West York VFW Post 8951; Vigilant Social Club; and had been a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791.
Brian was a “Mr. Fix-It” – he loved to tinker and could fix just about anything. His other passion was golf, which he enjoyed to do on Tuesdays, Thursdays and sometimes Fridays with his golf buddies. He also loved taking care of his adopted herd of cats.
In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by a brother, William Sipes and wife, Gretchen of York and their two children Heather Ro and two sons of York, and Michael Sipes, also of York; a sister, Beth Sipes of York and her companion, Mark Ferree; a brother in-law, William (Wink) Reynolds and wife, Kelly of Thomasville and their two children, Jennifer (Reynolds) Harris and husband, Gary of Dover and Chad Reynolds and wife, Kati (Meacher) Reynolds and their son, Brody Reynolds of Thomasville.
Services will be scheduled at a later date.
