Carl L. Moody, Sr.

LEWISBERRY – Carl L. Moody, Sr., 82, entered into rest at 5:24 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Kingston Court Nursing & Rehabilitation.  He was the loving husband of Beverly A. (Paup) Moody. The couple celebrated 55 years of marriage on July 29, 2022.

Born March 28, 1941 in York Haven, Carl was a son of the late Jacob and Amy (Anderson) Moody.

He worked in construction for Local Union 1180.

Carl attended Lighthouse Baptist Church of Greater York in Dover.  He enjoyed taking care of his yard and working on his car.

In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by his son, Carl L. Moody, Jr. and wife, Tracy of Dillsburg; daughter, Mary A. Boch and husband, William of Lewisberry; two grandchildren, Bailey Boch and Noelle Moody; two step-grandchildren, William Boch, Jr. and wife Krista of Maryland and Wesley Rodgers and wife, Krista of Etters; two step-great grandchildren, Terrance Rodgers and Laurel Boch; two sisters, Donna Nailor of Dillsburg and Joann Moody of Florida; a brother, Richard Moody of Lewisberry; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Snoopy and Pebbles.  He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Carl’s graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 in Emanuel Cemetery at Pinetown Road and Rosstown Road in Lewisberry.  Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Sterling Walsh, Jr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. in Dover.
