Carol E. Webb
DOVER – Carol E. Webb, 85, entered into rest at 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at her daughter’s home. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Webb, whom she visited and lovingly cared for daily while he was living at SpiriTrust Lutheran.
Born January 15, 1940 in York, Carol was the daughter of the late Fred R. and L. Lorene (Fishel) Kitzmiller.
She graduated from York High School in 1958. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked as a manager at Jay’s Restaurant and later was employed at BJ’s in the bakery.
Carol was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Dover and the York Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star where she was a Past Matron. She was also a member of the Order of the Ameranth and served on the board of the YWCA.
Carol enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Robin L. Covington and husband, Derek of Chesterfield, VA, Eileen D. Christenson and husband, Curt of York, Lee E. Webb and wife, Jody of Emigsville and Terri S. Conklin and husband, Martin of Surry, VA; seven grandchildren, Colin Covington(Shannon), Taylor Togger(Josh), Ryan Christenson(Ashley), Alyx Christenson, Curtis Conklin, Carter Robertson(Clayton), Hunter Conklin; five great grandchildren, Hunter Shope, Colton Robertson, Dakota Robertson, Morgan Christenson and Cole Christenson; and her dear, longtime friend, Hazel Emenheiser. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rodney E. Kitzmiller.
Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Carol’s memorial service at 11 a.m. and the visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 9 N. Main St., Dover. Burial will take place in Shiloh Union Cemetery at 2 p.m. Officiating will be her pastor, the Reverend Abigail Leese. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Dover.
