Carolyn E. Deveney

YORK – Carolyn E. Deveney, 77, entered into rest at 8:29 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Autumn House West in York.  She was the wife of the late Renfred “Rennie” R. Deveney.

Born November 4, 1946 in York, Carolyn was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Berngen) Keesey.

She graduated from the York Vo-Tech LPN program in 1988 and had over 20 years of service for York Hospital before retiring.

Following her retirement Carolyn moved to Florida for a period of time.  She enjoyed bowling, playing golf, watching NASCAR and going on cruises.

Carolyn is survived by her granddaughter, Tiffany A. Berry of Dover; two great granddaughters, Skyler Daugherty and Savannah Kell; a great great granddaughter, Willow E. Conley; daughter-in-law, Melissa A. Berry of York; and a sister, Patricia Heidler of York.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel L. Berry; sister, Jane Laucks; and brother, Robert Keesey.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Carolyn’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Mount Prospect Cemetery in Seven Valleys.  Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier.
