Cassandra M. Venesky 

YORK – Cassandra M. “Cassie” Venesky, 36, entered into rest due to natural causes at 10:21 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at her home.

Born January 7, 1989 in Bloomsburg and raised in Shamokin, Cassie was a daughter of Bernard J. Venesky, Jr. of Shamokin and Donna K. (Sowers) Venesky of York.

Cassie graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School in 2007.  She was employed by WellSpan.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Catherine “Cathy”; her nephew, Dakota; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Cassie was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Cassie’s life celebration at 2 p.m. and the visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Officiating will be Pastors Jeremy Drake and Brett Ayers of Church of the Open Door.
