Charles L. Hake

DOVER – Charles L. Hake, 72, of Dover, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022, at York Hospital.

Charles was born August 25, 1950 and was the son of the late Carl L. and Charlotte M. (Goodling) Hake.

He graduated in 1968 from William Penn High School in York and later from York College of Pennsylvania  in 1972 with a Bachelor's of Science degree.  He was the owner and operator of Hakes Home Furnishings in Shiloh for over 40 years.  He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in East York.

Charles is survived by his son, Christopher L. Hake and his wife Josie of Dover; two grandchildren, Ava and Caden, and his sister, Charlene M. Hake of York.

Viewings for Charles will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022, and Friday, December 9, 2022, from 10 AM to 11 AM at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 North Queen Street, Dover. His service will begin at 11 AM, Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Officiating at his service will be the Reverend Dr. Benny Ortiz.
