Dale F. Shoemaker, Jr.
DOVER – Dale F. Shoemaker, Jr, 68, of Dover, passed away, Monday, August 30, 2021 at York Hospital. He was the husband of June L. (Neiman) Shoemaker whom he married 45 years ago on October 4, 1975.
Dale was born January 4, 1953 in Dover and was the son of the late Dale F. Shoemaker, Sr. and Janet E. Leas Shoemaker.
He graduated in 1971 from Dover Area High School in Dover. He was the owner and operator of Dale F. Shoemaker, Jr. and Sons for 40 years. He previously had worked for Kinsley Construction, Richard E. Krall Excavating and Shiloh Paving and Excavating. He was a member of the East Berlin Fish and Game, Dover Fish and Game, West Manchester Township Farmer’s and Sportsman’s Association in Dover, Buchanan Valley Rod and Gun C lub in Orrtanna and the East Berlin, V.F.W. Post 8896.
In addition to his wife, June, Dale is survived by his two sons, Doug Shoemaker and his wife Heather of Dover and James Shoemaker of Dover; 3 grandchildren; his nieces and nephews; his brothers, Joseph Shoemaker of Abbottstown, PA, Jack Shoemaker of Dover and his sisters, Deborah Jeffery of MI and Jill Keller of Carlisle, PA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to his viewing, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Friendship Community Church, 3380 Fox Run Road, Dover, PA. His service will begin at 6:00 PM Tuesday at the church. Officiating at his service will be Pastor Logan Ames. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover.
