Daniel D. Trostle
DOVER – Daniel D. Trostle, 67, entered into rest at 5:20 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 at his home. He was the loving husband of Mary Lynne (Baublitz) Trostle. The couple celebrated 45 years of marriage on October 11, 2020.
Born July 23, 1953 in York, he was a son of the late G. Jacob and Mary (Mummert) Trostle.
Dan graduated from Dover High School in 1971 and retired in 2019 from Genco/FedEx. He previously worked for Snyder’s of Hanover.
Dan had been a Little League Baseball coach. He was very artistic and enjoyed painting, as well as cooking. Dan also liked music and NASCAR and was a fan of Elvis Presley and Dale Earnhardt.
In addition to his wife, Dan is survived by a son, Shawn A. Trostle and wife, Melissa of Dover; a daughter, Jessica D. Reyes and husband, Toby of York; thirteen grandchildren; three brothers, Ronald Trostle of Red Lion, Brad Trostle of York and John Trostle of Spring Grove; and three sisters, Lois Perez of Dover, Brenda Williams and Sue Trostle, both of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Amy S. Trostle.
Services for Dan will be scheduled at a later date. Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is serving his family.
