Darlene M. Ilgenfritz
DOVER – Darlene Mae (McCurdy) Ilgenfritz, 87, entered into rest at 12:05 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Pappus House in Thomasville. She was the wife of the late John M. Ilgenfritz, Jr. with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.
Born March 15, 1938 in Dillsburg, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen (Barnhill) McCurdy.
Darlene graduated from Northern High School. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and enjoyed watching her grandkids. Her cat, Gracie, also held a special place in her heart.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Debra Lynn Stambaugh (husband, Ben); her son, John Michael Ilgenfritz (wife, Lori); her son, Eric James Ilgenfritz (wife, Jennifer); her grandchildren: Jason Martin Dixon (wife, Colette), Ryan Christopher Dixon (wife, Laura), Derek Michael Ilgenfritz (wife, Amber), Dustin John Ilgenfritz (wife, Brittany), Leah Erin McLaughlin (husband, Cody), Zachary Eric Ilgenfritz; her great-grandchildren: Emma Paige Dixon, Chloe Ann Ilgenfritz, Avery Marie Dixon, Riley Christopher Dixon, Dawson John Ilgenfritz, Ellie Nicole Ilgenfritz, Laken Olivia Ilgenfritz and Ella Collette McLaughlin; and her sister, Delores Mabius. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Following cremation, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Salem Union Cemetery in Dover. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
