Daryl R. Stetler
WELLSVILLE – Daryl R. Stetler, 73, entered into rest on Monday, June 24, 2024 at his home. He was the devoted and loving husband of Kandi L. (Snyder) Stetler. The couple celebrated 19 years of marriage on May 23, 2024.
Born August 5, 1950 in Lewistown, Daryl was a son of the late Richard L. and Margaret E. (Myers) Stetler.
He graduated from Central York High School in 1969 and later served in the U.S. Air Force. Daryl attained his Eagle Scout ranking in Boy Scouts before his graduation of high school, an accomplishment that was very important to him.
He retired in 2020 following 42 years of service for WellSpan York Hospital where he was a journeyman electrician. He also had his CDL license, something he was very proud of.
Daryl attended and belonged to local churches. He was also a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791.
He enjoyed animal watching and, in his younger years, hunting. He also enjoyed traveling when able.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Laura Smith of Glen Rock; grandson, Luke Smith; brother, Van R. Stetler and wife, Celia of South Carolina; and sister, Diana R.S. Meckley and husband, Lew of New York.
