David B. Lookingbill, Sr.

DOVER – David B. Lookingbill, Sr., 70, entered into rest at 7:05 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at his home. He was the loving husband of Darlene L. (Curry) Lookingbill.  The couple celebrated 36 years of marriage on February 14, 2023.

Born June 3, 1953 in York, Dave was a son of the late Ralph H. and Betty L. (Fetrow) Lookingbill.

He graduated from West York High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran.  Over the years, Dave was employed by United CoolAir in York and Panagraphics, Inc. in Dover.  Most recently he was a bus driver for Rabbit Transit as well as a school bus driver for Durham School Services. 

Dave was a member of Dover Bethany Church in Dover.  He was a former member and president of White Rose Van Jammers.  Dave enjoyed bowling and was an avid Seattle Seahawks, NASCAR and muscle cars fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Christine C. Chaluisan of East York, Rebecca Boyer and husband, Robert, Jr., Nicole Eberly and husband, Travis and Alena Pfaff and fiancé, Brady Smith, all of Dover; a son, David B. Lookingbill, Jr. and wife, Aleah of York; six grandsons with a grandson on the way; three granddaughters; and two brothers, Budd Lookingbill of York and Garry Lookingbill of Mountville.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend David’s funeral at 5 p.m. and the viewing from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Dover Bethany Church, 4510 Bull Road, Dover.  Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Salvatore Buonocore.  Dave requested that those in attendance please wear their favorite sports attire.
