David E. Stover, Sr.

YORK – David E. Stover, Sr., 73, entered into rest at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at WellSpan York Hospital.

Born April 21, 1950 in York, he was a son of the late Michael O. and Mary A. (Beck) Stover.

David had been employed by C.R. Heidlebaugh’s in York and enjoyed repairing lawnmowers.

He is survived by his son, David E. Stover, Jr. and wife, Lori, of York; two sisters, Mary Gross of Etters and Martha List of Hanover; and his former wife, Bonnie (Miller) Stover of York.  David was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Joyce Nelson, Bonnie Firestone, Barry and Larry Stover.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend David’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Bermudian Church Cemetery in East Berlin.  Officiating will be Pastor Larry Dentler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA  22116-7023.
