Deanna L. Beck
YORK – Deanna L. Beck, 74, entered into rest at 5:01 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at her home. She was the wife of the late Leroy C. "Red" Beck.
Born September 11, 1948 in Dover, Deanna was a daughter of the late Harry “Hap” and Janice L. (Day) Lehman.
She attended Dover High School and worked as a waitress for Fisher’s & Alexander’s Restaurants for over 30 years. Deanna retired from Martin’s Potato Chips and most recently was a school van driver for Reliance Student Transportation.
She was a lifetime member of West York VFW Post 8951 as well as the Shiloh American Legion Post 791 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandgirls, as well as her beloved dog, Abbie.
Deanna is survived by her two sons, Lanny Toot and wife, Ann of York and Shane Beck and wife, Hope of Dover; and her three granddaughters, Morgan Toot, Skylar Beck and Katelyn Beck. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kay B. Sweger.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Deanna’s funeral at 10:30 a.m. and the viewing from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier, pastor of Grace U.C.C. in Hanover.
