Deanna M. Vogelsong
YORK – Deanna M. Vogelsong, 83, entered into rest at 7:33 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Celebration Villa in York. She was the loving wife of James E. Vogelsong. The couple celebrated 66 years of marriage on January 24, 2025.
Born October 20, 1941 in York, Deanna was a daughter of the late Cletus and Viola (Druck) Hoover.
She graduated from York High School in 1959.
Deanna owned and operated White Horse Diner in York for 16 years.
She was a member of Pleasureville Christian Church in York.
Deanna loved gardening and loved people. She would help feed the homeless with food from her restaurant. Deanna was also heavily involved with the Salvation Army.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons, James R. Volgelsong and wife, Sandra of Spring Grove, Bryan L. Vogelsong and wife, Tina of York and David L. Vogelsong and wife, Stacy of Dover; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a sister Donna Schneider of York. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Deanna’s funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York. Officiating will be Pastor David Kominsky.
