Delores R. Sutton

DOVER – Delores R. “Dolly” (Haar) Fink Sutton, 86, died at 1:28 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Grove City, OH.  She was the wife of the late Lewis W. Sutton, who died April 10, 2005.

Dolly was born February 25, 1937 in East Berlin, PA, a daughter of the late John W. and Lottie Mae (Slusser) Haar.

She retired from Pleasant Acres of York, PA.  She also worked for Bon Ton Potato Chip Factory in York and babysat many children in the 1960’s, 1970’s and early 1980’s.  She was a member of York County Farm Women Association; Heritage Senior Center, Dover; Dover Lions Club; Union Fire & Hose Co. #1, Dover; East Berlin Alumni Association; South End Democratic Club; and attended the Gospel Jam at Church of the Open Door.  She was a lifelong attendee of Thrive Church, York, PA.

Dolly is survived by her four children, Wendolyn Blair and husband, Doug of Circleville, OH, Cindy Landis and husband, Harry of York, Terry and Randall Fink, both of Dover; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Janet Gruver of East Berlin, PA.

Dolly was predeceased by her siblings: Irene Reed, Ralph Haar, Mildred Trimmer, Shirley Weikert and Luther Haar.  She was also predeceased by a great-grandson, Angelo Lewis.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dolly’s funeral at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Thrive Church, 661 N. Newberry St., York.  There will be viewings from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday at the church.  Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery.  Officiating will be Pastor Dustin Godshall.
