Deloris F. Crone

DOVER – Deloris F. (Gettys) Crone, 84, entered into rest on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at ProMedica York North.  She was the wife of the late Ralph E. Crone who died in 2003.

Born September 19, 1937 in York, she was a daughter of the late Harold D. “Jim” and Margaret I. “Molly” (Harlacher) Gettys.

Deloris was a member of Dover U.C.C. where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was also on the Alter Guild.   She was a member of Dover Farm Women and Dover Lioness Club as well.  Deloris enjoyed bowling.

She is survived by her brother, Barry L. Gettys and wife, Joyce of York; step-children, Benjamin A. Crone and wife, Josie and Kelly E. Crone and wife, Julie, Andrew L. Crone, Michael L. Crone and Anita Hensel and husband, Bill; seven step-grandchildren; and ten step-great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn E. Gettys and a step-great granddaughter.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Deloris’ funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Dover U.C.C., 45 W. Canal St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.  Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Eva O’Diam.  Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover, is serving her family.
