Dennis E. Schenandore

DOVER – Dennis E. Schenandore, 80, entered into rest at 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at WellSpan York Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Betty J. (Franklin) Schenandore.

Born January 20, 1945 in Windsor Township, he was a son of the late Derius and Mae I. (Kraft) Schenandore.

Dennis retired after 43 years from Adhesives Research as a supervisor.  He was a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791; Rooster Club; 13th Ward; Yeagertown Fire Company; and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family, especially game nights.

Dennis is survived by his son, Jody Schenandore and companion, Lisa Diehl of York; three daughters, Salinda Weary and husband, Mike, Sherry Rodgers and husband, Keith and Deanna Rankin and husband, Bill, all of Dover; three grandsons, Ryan Rodgers and wife Leah, Jarred Rodgers and Eric Rodgers and wife, Courtney; six great grandchildren, Tyler, Reese, Brooklyn, Gavin, Griffin and Marley; and three sisters, Jackie Busser of Dover, Linda Sanders of Cherokee Village, AR and Connie Schenandore of Dover.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Schenandore and sisters, Cynthia Crisamore and Mary Anne Wivell.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the graveside service at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025 in Suburban Memorial Gardens, 3875 Bull Rd., Dover.  Officiating will be Pastor Stephen Hunter.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
