DOVER – Donald Henry Ryan, 70, peacefully entered into rest at his home on Thursday, May 15, 2025. 

Born November 27, 1954 in Stoverstown, he was a son of the late Raymond H. and Rosella M. (Glatfelter) Ryan.

Donald graduated from Spring Grove High School in 1972.  Over the years, he had worked as a machinist, supervisor and in construction.  Donald was a member of the Matthews Masonic Lodge No. 650.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and, thanks to his grandson, playing video games.

Donald is survived by his son, Shawn H. Ryan of York; daughter, Sara A. Ryan of Dover; three grandchildren, Aurian L. Ryan, Liam H. Ryan and Aubry L. Ryan; great granddaughter, Thea E. Lamendola; sister, Karen Longer of Cambria County; and a large extended family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandy Leese and Nancy Ryan and his brother, Daniel Ryan.

Following cremation, services will be at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. in Dover.
