Doris J. Hoerner
DOVER – Doris J. (Anderson) Hoerner, 98, entered into rest at 4:08 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025 at York North Nursing & Rehab. She was the wife of the late Charles M. Hoerner.
Born April 2, 1927 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Laverne L. and Pauline G. (Bartell) Anderson.
Doris was a homemaker and longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church of Roundtown. She was a former member Union Fire & Hose Co. #1 Ladies Auxiliary, Dover. She enjoyed crocheting, making Christmas balls, adult coloring books, crossword puzzles and word searches.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Donna L. Ruppert of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sons, Arthur M. Hoerner of Dover and Bryan E. Hoerner of Hanover; five grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Curtis L. Hoerner.
Following cremation, services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
