Duane L. Wolgamuth

BROGUE – Duane Leroy Wolgamuth, 75, entered into rest Saturday morning, January 6, 2024 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy.  He was the loving husband of Bonnie (Shaull) Wolgamuth.  The couple celebrated 28 years of marriage on February 17, 2023.

Born January 4, 1949 in Tulsa, OK, he was a son of the late Leroy G. and Velma C. (Siever) Wolgamuth Fourhman.

Duane graduated from Dover Area High School in 1966 and attended York College and Penn State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree.  He retired following 17 years of service for General Dynamics where he was an engineering supervisor. 

Duane was a member of Salem U.C.C. in Dover and was formerly on church council.  He was also a member of Dover Lions Club and Union Fire & Hose Co. #1, Dover.  He had also been a Cub Scout leader.

In addition to his wife, Duane is survived by his children, Daniel A. Wolgamuth and Laurel A. Oswalt and husband, Tom; two grandsons, Gehrig Wilson and Tyler Oswalt; three sisters, Diane Frueh and husband, John, Debbie Lukehart and Dee Yeager and husband, Dan; two brothers, Roy Wolgamuth and wife, Ana and Leslie Wolgamuth; and his step-mother, Ruth Wolgamuth.

Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Interment will take place privately in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem U.C.C., 2705 W. Canal Rd., Dover, PA 17315.
