Edward L. Kessler

DOVER – Edward L. Kessler, 84, entered into rest at 4:29 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Inners Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Dallastown.  He was the loving husband of Janice Ann (Leight) Kessler.  The couple celebrated 38 years of marriage on August 1, 2024.

Born October 3, 1940 in York, Edward was the son of the late Russell H. and Helen E. (Schildt) Kessler.

He was a farmer for Rutter’s Dairy.

In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his children, Mary E. Johnson and husband, Steve, Lorie A. Minnich and husband, Robert and Matthew E. Kessler and wife, Dodi; two step-children, Eddie Kuehne and wife, Carla and Kimberly Fetrow and husband, Tim; four grandchildren, Ricky L. Wilt, Adam B. Wilt, Katie N. Shipman and Zachary E. Kessler; three step-grandchildren, Morgan Reich and husband, Blayde, Jacob Fetrow and wife, Brooke and Megan Erdman; and two great grandchildren, Ricky L. Wilt II and Rhys J. Wilt.  He was preceded in death by a step-grandson, Bradley Kuehne.

Following cremation, services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Dover.
