Emmett B. Fetrow

LEWISBERRY – Emmett B. Fetrow, 89, entered into rest on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the loving husband of L. Kay (Cutlip) Fetrow.  The couple celebrated 67 years of marriage on September 1, 2023.

Born August 4, 1934 in Lewisberry, Emmett was a son of the late Harvey H. and Florence (Worley) Fetrow.  In addition to his wife, Emmett is survived by a brother, Clair J. Fetrow (Kathleen) of New Cumberland and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Emmett was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Korea. He loved all animals and had a quiet way with them that earned their trust. His gentle ways made him a favorite of the children in his life.

Following cremation, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Emmett’s memorial service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Officiating will be his nephew, Pastor Robert Stewart.  Burial will take place privately in Emanuel Cemetery in Lewisberry.
