Erma M. Fitzwater

DOVER – Erma M. Fitzwater, 73, entered into rest at 10:22 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at UPMC Memorial.  She was the companion of the late John E. Trimble.

Born April 9, 1948 in Newberry Township, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Minerva (Taylor) Mansberger.

Erma was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary M. Spahr and husband, Michael of Dover; a son, William E. Hartman and wife, Jen of Thomasville; seven grandchildren, Nathan and Madisyn Spahr, Katrina Billet, Novalee, Chelsee, Little Bill and Analise Hartman; a brother, Leroy G. Mansberger of Thomasville; and an aunt, Ella Nace of Stewartstown.  In addition to her companion and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney E. Mansberger.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Erma’s viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Her graveside service will follow in Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
