YORK NEW SALEM – Esther I. Stough, 90, entered into rest at 6:59 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at ManorCare Health Services North.  She was the wife of the late Kurvin E. Stough, Sr.
 
Born October 3, 1930 in Dover Township, Esther was a daughter of the late George H. and Katie (Goodwin) Harlacher.
 
She was a homemaker, farmer and member of Salem Lutheran Church in Dover.  Esther was also a former Cub Scout leader and den mother.  She enjoyed baking, cooking, cleaning and visiting the seashore.
 
Esther is survived by a son, Kurvin E. Stough, Jr. of Dover; two daughters, Linda I. Shaffer of Thomasville and Darby J. Stough of West York; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Bob Harlacher; and a sister, Margaret Will.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters.
 
Services for Esther will be private.  Burial will take place in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover.  Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Amy Northridge.  Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is serving her family.
