YORK - Evelyn F. Gumpper, 86, entered into rest at 11:16 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Country Meadows of York – West.  She was the wife of the late Edward Gumpper, Sr.
 
Born November 24, 1934 in York, Evelyn was a daughter of the late Robert S. and Alverta J. (Hollerbush) Gettys, Sr.
 
She retired from Harley Davidson Employee Store.
 
Evelyn was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in York, Shiloh American Legion Post 791 Ladies Auxiliary and Lakeview Boat Club.  She enjoyed going to yard sales.
 
Evelyn is survived by two sons, Barry E. Ziegler and wife, Donna of Dover and Michael W. Ziegler and wife, Lori of York; a step-daughter, Evelyn Haughton and husband, Les of Charlottesville, VA; a step-son, Jeffrey Gumpper and wife, Joann of Colorado; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Sunday of Dover and Donna Coppenhaver of Kettering, OH.  In addition to her husband and parents, she preceded in death by a son, Charles O. Ziegler, Jr.; a step-son, Edward Gumpper, Jr.; four brothers, Richard D. Gettys, Dale Gettys, Robert S. Gettys, Jr. and Donald L. Gettys; and two sisters, Ruth A. Crone and Delores M. Allison.
 
Services for Evelyn are private.  Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover.
